more photoshop experiments

I have been looking at using layer masks in photoshop to incorporate specific aspects of different images in order to create digital composites.

For this image I used a photograph I took a few years ago, as it was a good quality close up of a face and eye, I wanted to see what effects I could generate from altering the eye and making it look more mechanical/robotic. in addition i combined many other found images to generate different skin textures.

These are the images I found on google which I used to create multiple layers on my photograph (close up of side of face with eye)
Below is the original photograph used and the one i created in photoshop. Again, although these images don't consist of features i will necessarily be using in my final piece, i think it was important to experiment with the may diverse features and effects in order to establish what would be appropriate for my final image.

The next image is a combination of two found images (sourced on google) i wanted to see how fluidly i could combine two images using layer masks, this was just a a quick experiment during one of the tutorial sessions in uni.
